Design Led Prints for Children and Adults by Ingrid Petrie Design
I have to admit something to you. This is my first blog post EVER. So I'm a little nervous. I'm not sure if anyone will actually read it so maybe I have nothing to worry about. But if you do then thanks! Ok here goes nothing.
As Too Many Pjs is a design led brand for babies and their parents to enjoy I thought I would like to introduce some other great brands to you that I myself am a fan of. The first one up is Ingrid Petrie Design, and her contemporary prints for little ones and the home.
Run by designer Ingrid Petrie, who works from her home studio in Glasgow, Scotland, the business was established in late 2013. All prints are designed by Ingrid and produced either within the studio or locally, using high quality materials at all times.
What I like about Ingrid's designs are that they are sweet and innocent enough for nursery's and kid's rooms, but modern and well designed so that I could hang them in my living room as well. She just brought out a range of new designs and I used a couple in our new 'Friends' collection photoshoot for Autumn Winter 2017. I'm sure you have seen some of them over on our Instagram account too! I couldn't resist pairing a few up with our Monochrome, Pink and Blue Soft Alphabet blocks as well. She does some amazing monochrome prints including this penguin. She also does a penguin family print that can be customised according to the size of your own family. Its so cute and makes a great gift for a new family or one that has just grown larger.
Her new range has a lot more colour in it as well as her beloved monochrome designs. This Alphabet one comes in either mono or colour so can fit either taste. I love the coloured one myself and it couldn't go better with our blocks! She also has new Sun, Moon, and Rainbow Prints which look great hanging all together.
You can find Ingrid's online shop here and her beautiful Instagram account here. She is also part of The Mamahood Marketplace like we are and thats where I first discovered her unique, minimalist, and contemporary designs. The Mamahood Marketplace is a great place for you to find a whole heap of talented Mamas who are running their own businesses on top of having children and some having other full time jobs. And as an added bonus most offer a discount code!
I guess that pretty much sums up my first blog post. It wasn't too painful for me, and I hope it was enjoyable for you to read! I will be writing regularly about design led children's interiors, kids toys and fashion, family travel and creative projects I'm currently working on so pop back anytime! You can sign up here if you would like to receive my monthly newsletter and a sweet 10% discount off your first purchase. Thanks for reading!
